These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of our website and to any contract for the sale of goods between you and Crown & Calibre Ltd. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order.
2. Website use
This website is provided for information about our collection, workshop, authenticity programme and company. It does not constitute a binding offer to sell. All product descriptions, specifications and images are for guidance only and may be updated without notice.
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, transmit malware, scrape content for commercial use without permission, or use the site in any way that could damage or impair its operation.
Intellectual property in all content on this website — including text, images, logos and design — belongs to Crown & Calibre Ltd or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute or modify any content without our prior written consent.
3. Orders & pricing
Orders are placed by contacting us directly via telephone, email or the contact form. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order in writing (email or order confirmation document) and you have paid any required deposit or full amount.
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT at the applicable rate unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If an error affects a confirmed order, we will notify you and offer the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel with a full refund.
Payment may be made by bank transfer, debit or credit card, or other methods agreed at the time of order. Title to goods passes to you upon receipt of full payment. We retain a lien over goods until payment is received in full.
4. Delivery
We deliver within the United Kingdom using fully insured couriers. Delivery timescales are estimates and not guaranteed; we will inform you of expected dispatch dates at the time of order. Risk in goods passes to you upon delivery to the address specified in your order.
Collection from our Manchester showroom is available by appointment. You must inspect goods upon receipt and notify us of any transit damage within 48 hours.
5. Returns & cancellation
If you are a consumer purchasing at a distance (online or by telephone), you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of receiving goods, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To exercise this right, notify us in writing within the cancellation period. Goods must be returned unused, in original condition with all packaging, certificate and warranty card.
Customised or bespoke items (including engraved pieces) are excluded from the right of cancellation unless faulty. Return shipping costs for cancellation are your responsibility unless goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving returned goods, using the original payment method. We may deduct an amount for diminished value if goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature and characteristics.
6. Warranty
All Crown & Calibre watches are supplied with a five-year warranty against manufacturing defects in the movement, case and crystal, commencing from the date of purchase stated on the warranty card. One complimentary service is included within the warranty period.
The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, normal wear of straps or bracelets, water damage where seals have not been maintained, or repairs performed by unauthorised parties. Warranty service must be carried out exclusively at our Manchester workshop.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by this warranty. Faulty goods may be repaired, replaced or refunded within the first 30 days, and repaired or replaced within six months where a fault is presumed to have existed at delivery.
7. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you for any claim arising from a contract or your use of this website shall not exceed the price paid for the relevant goods. We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, including loss of profit, data or goodwill.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to this website and shall not be liable for temporary unavailability due to maintenance, technical issues or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
8. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version will always be published on this page with the date of last update.
For questions about these Terms, contact us at [email protected] or write to Crown & Calibre Ltd, 28 King Street, Manchester M2 4WY.
